So I took my TT600 for its first MoT today, on a charming little industrial estate just outside town. Armed with the fresh paperwork, I was pootling back home when I stopped in a queue of traffic at some temporary traffic lights on the exit to the estate (Alt-nycap road for those who know Carmarthen). After a while, the van driver ahead of me got pissed off with waiting and decided to turn round (he later explained) so he stuck it in reverse and floored it. I hit the horn just before he hit me, and then my head hit the floor first as I got my feet out the way of the bike and the whole plot was thrown at the floor.
So, that'll be a whole shedload of fairing panels, a mudguard, an indicator, a front brake assembly, a clip-on and and exhaust can at first glance. And a new Arai, as well.
Even though we were stationary in traffic, if I'd stopped where I was visible in the bloke's mirrors, then had he looked he would have seen me - but that's for my benefit next time. This time I have a witness to what happened so it'll be 100% the van driver's fault. Paperwork ahoy!!
